You must enter a positive duration.<\/p>\n<p>What the hell does that mean?  Basically the user somehow created a task that repeated from today through to the end of the world (infinity).  Somehow it wouldn&#8217;t move, delete, open, or rename.<\/p>\n<p>Being the network administrator that I am, I took ownership of his mailbox &#8211; well technically &#8220;Publishing Editor&#8221;, but we&#8217;ll assume ownership. <\/p>\n<p>OK, I&#8217;m going to assume that you have already given yourself permissions to read the user&#8217;s mail\/calendar by checking the Full Mailbox Access allow box in Active Directory AND have added the mailbox account to your outlook.<\/p>\n<p>Click on Calendars<br \/>\nCheck the box next to the Calendar in Mailbox &#8211; USERNAMEHERE<br \/>\nRight-click on the Calendar in Mailbox &#8211; USERNAMEHERE that shows up on the main screen and select properties<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/it.thelibrarie.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/calendar_properties.png\" alt=\"calendar_properties\" title=\"calendar_properties\" width=\"564\" height=\"599\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/it.thelibrarie.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/calendar_properties.png 564w, https:\/\/it.thelibrarie.com\/weblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/calendar_properties-282x300.png 282w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 564px) 100vw, 564px\" \/><br \/>\nNow click on the Permissions tab<br \/>\nAdd your username to the list<br \/>\nGive your username Publishing Editor privileges<\/p>\n<p>Now you can left-click once on the task and hit the magic Delete button.
